We will do a training on how to do everything and we will make sure everyone gets a partner to go with so no one will be alone! This is a great experience for first time volunteers! Please join us for our weekly in-person canvass training! Here's what to expect on Saturday: 11:00am - 12:00pm: Comprehensive training on canvassing fundamentals + using the website that shows us which doors to knock and how to record voter responses. 12:00 - 12:30pm: Travel to the nearby "turf" where we'll be knocking on doors. 12:30 - 2:30pm: Canvassing in pairs. 2:30 - 3:00pm: Travel back to Mary's house + debrief with the team, share wins, and answer questions. Here's what to bring: Abdul gear (shirt or pin - we'll have extra to share) Comfortable walking shoes. Weather-appropriate attire. Fully charged phone. Battery back up for your phone, just in case.

Hello Muskegon for Abdul- Join us for our weekly Canvass Training and Debrief/Organizing meetings! For new canvassers, we will train on how to talk to voters and use the OpenField software before knocking some doors from 1-4p. Bring your phone, a water, and good walking shoes. Then all volunteers are welcome to join us for a Debrief/Organizing meeting from 4-5p. The name of the game until the Primary: KNOCK DOORS! Join Abdul in Genesee County for the We Can Do Better listening tour. Doors open at 1 PM with the event starting promptly at 1:30 PM. Location will be provided upon RSVP and closer to the date. At a moment when so many Michiganders feel abandoned by both political parties, Abdul is taking his campaign directly to the communities who are frustrated with the status quo. This is no standard town hall. This listening tour opens the floor for people to voice their frustrations, needs, and concerns. It shouldn’t be this hard. People are paying too much for gas, groceries, rent, and healthcare. Instead of asking why people are fed up, too many politicians on both sides of the aisle are hellbent on protecting a broken system, rather than taking on the corporations and special interests that have made life so hard. I’m interested in hearing and learning from the folks the establishment has left behind. We can and must do better. Please join us. Voice your concerns. Bring people who have felt locked out of our politics. Let's build towards a better America where we can all thrive.

Juneteenth is a holiday that commemorates the day in 1865 when the enslaved people of Texas finally learned that slavery had been abolished and that they were free.
