Join us in expressing solidarity with Teamster nurses at Corewell Dearborn! Arrival around 6:30. Abdul will be joining later in the picket.

Let's show our support to striking Henry Ford Genesys nurses as they fight for fair wage, safe staffing, and better conditions for all. No need to bring signs, just wear Abdul for Senate merch or your union swag!

Can you join us in showing support for bargaining Grand Rapids teachers as they begin their negotiation with the district? Signs will be provided. What is our role as volunteers for this event? We'll be connecting with the GREA point person when we arrive, helping set up the designated location, supporting outreach by sharing their flyers, inviting community members to sign the petition to support GREA, and talking with passerbys. We'll collect the material so teachers can make it inside on time for work.  This is a peaceful, voluntary show of support for educators and students. All activities will happen before the school day begins. No interaction with students during instructional time, teachers will enter the building on time to start their workday.

Join us for a virtual call every other Sunday at 1 to talk with other Labor for Abdul volunteers on how to mobilize the working class for our candidate. In the state that built the American Dream, it shouldn’t be this hard to get by. Abdul believes in an economy built by and for working people, where one good job can support a family, every worker has the right to join a union, and everyone has guaranteed healthcare, no matter what they do for work. Having been a proud card-carrying member of AFT Local 477 and 6244, SEIU Local 500, the National Writers Union, and the AAUP, Abdul knows that unions are essential to a fair economy. He’s fighting against corporate tax breaks and billionaire influence, for fair wages, strong labor protections, and a future where world-changing technologies like AI work for people, not against them.
