Hear from Abdul and Congressman Jamie Raskin about how we’re building a movement to send Abdul to the U.S. Senate: to get money out of politics, put money back in people’s pockets, and finally pass Medicare for All. Doors open at 2 PM with the event starting promptly at 2:30 PM. Please take into consideration time to park. Location provided upon RSVP. RSVP IS REQUIRED AND MUST BE PRESENTED ON SITE. RSVP DOES NOT GUARANTEE ENTRY. GOVERNMENT ID MUST BE PROVIDED ON ENTRY AND VERIFIED. THE CAMPAIGN MAY REFUSE ENTRY. Call time for volunteer staff is 9am, at the Lansing Center.  Event description below:Bring your Abdul for Senate merch and join us at Saturday's convention.The 2026 Fall Convention of the Michigan Democratic Party will be held in Lansing at the Lansing Center on Saturday, August 29, 2026. The purposes of the MDP’s 2026 Nominating Convention shall be to formally nominate Democratic candidates to the November General Election in the following contests: Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of State, Attorney General, State Board of Education, University of Michigan Board of Regents, Michigan State University Board of Trustees, Wayne State University Board of Governors, and State Supreme Court.

The Chelsea Community Fair will be amazing with the Abdul Bus decked out in Abdul swag and surrounded by us cheering volunteers!!!Please join to walk alongside the Abdul Bus, canvass the crowd, throw candy, and raise awareness about voting for Abdul November 3!

Hang out with fellow volunteers in Ann Arbor's German Park for German Park's last picnic of the year. Wear your Abdul gear and hopefully we can have good conversations with other attendees!$10 admission (charged by German Park) Rain or shine! Park opens at 4pm. Admission stops at 9pm. Park closes at 11pm.  Live music by the Sorgenbrechers and traditional German Schuhplattler by some of the members of German Park. ATM onsiteUnder 21 must have a parent/guardian12 and under freeNo outside food or beverages (celebratory cakes ok)No pets.
